I bought them for my pregnancy expecting some comfy flip flops for the summer and my trip to Hawaii. After that, I didn't really care what happened to them so I wore them to the beach, kayaking, and walking around the big island. They're trashed now... But still good for gardening I guess. So don't get them wet if you can help it, unless you don't really care what happens to them!I have to say that they were comfy before that happened so maybe it was just a fluke.
